Badwell's award-winning website was first created in 2007, by The Badwell Ash Community Forum. 
The Forum, also created in 2007, evolved after residents asked for a body to take action in the interests of the village. They wanted to create a more active social life for the village, and also to cut some of the inevitable red tape in which the Parish Council is tied.
The Forum was involved in many areas of village life, including reviving the Village Fair, helping to set up a Youth Club, and getting an extra litter bin for the village. The main purpose of the Forum was to provide occasions to get together, and it held successful bingo nights, ceilidhs, quiz nights etc.
In 2011 the Forum was disbanded. Its role was taken up by a rejuvenated Village Hall Committee which puts on many activites and events, including very successful Bonfire Nights, Bingo and Quiz Nights and Christmas Wreath Making Evenings.
