The Parish Council has the intention of maintaining and improving the quality of the parish and of the lives of those residents within it.
Areas of interest include crime prevention, lighting, litter, open spaces, planning, playing fields, rights of way, roadside verges, seats, shelters and signs etc.
The Parish Council reviews all planning applications affecting the parish. We then pass our opinions to Mid Suffolk District Council which they may take into account when they make the decision to permit, deny or permit with conditions.
You can view all current and past applications by searching the Mid Suffolk District Council's online planning page.
Parish Council accounts are audited twice annually, once by a local auditor (internal audit) and then they are sent to an external auditor who is appointed by the Audit Commission. The results of these audits are posted on the village noticeboards and website later in the year.
At the Annual General Meeting of the Parish Council in May 2022, it was resolved to adopt the newly revised LGA Councillors Code of Conduct which was unanimously approved. A copy is attached herewith.
