Based on resident's views expressed through the Neighbourhood Plan process, Badwell Ash Parish Council investigated proposals for an all-weather games area on part of the playing field, which would allow you to play several sports.
A Multi-Use Games Area, or ‘MUGA’ is simple to use because the special playing surface gives good grip in all weathers, and is clearly marked out for several sports - the proposed games area includes 2 multi-use pitches, allowing you to play: Tennis, Basketball, Netball or 5-a-side football in all weathers, and is similar to those already in use at Stowupland, Newton, Bardwell, and Risby. When tennis nets are needed they will be simple to install.

was held between 19 October and 8 November 2024, and a planning application to Mid-Suffolk District Council, and at January 2025 has yet to be determined.
