The 4C's group provides a friendly, warm space where residents and visitors meet on a Friday morning most months between 10 & 12 in Badwell Ash Village Hall.
Regular attendees comment that the atmosphere is open and supportive, and one in which they can make and meet friends, chat and bring crafts if they want to. With raffle and mini bingo and sale of light refreshments they raise substantial funds for locally nominated charities, and counter loneliness and isolation.
Everyone is welcome to just drop in and volunteers to make and serve cakes and drinks, and help with popular activities are welcome. Dates are displayed at the post office, village notice boards and Badwell Ash Community Facebook page.
4C's meetings have raised money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Dementia Care UK and West Suffolk Special Care Baby Unit.
