The draft Badwell Ash & Long Thurlow Neighbourhood Plan has now reached the post- examination stage.

The submission draft Badwell Ash & Long Thurlow Neighbourhood Plan 2024 - 2038 was independently examined by Ann Skippers BSc (Hons) MRTPI FRSA FHEA AoU. her final report R18 Statement dated 8 August 2025 praises the manner in which this Plan was prepared and presented, with its innovative and distinctive local policies that add an appropriate level of detail for decision makers. 

The plan now moves to the next stage where a referendum will be held so that local residents of Badwell Ash and Long Thurlow will be able to vote on whether they are in favour of the plan. This will be organised by Mid Suffolk District Council and is likely to held some time over the next 3months
