PARISH COUNCIL OF BADWELL ASH

VACANCY FOR A PARISH COUNCILLOR

Following the recent resignation of a Parish Councillor, we have a vacancy on the Council with immediate effect.

Applications are invited from residents who are interested in joining the Council and playing an active part in our village and community and who meet the legal requirements for this vacancy which are:

 * I am over 18 yrs age

 * I am a qualifying commonwealth citizen or an EU citizen

 * I meet one or more of the other requirements, as indicated below:

• I am registered as a local government elector for the parish
• I have, during the whole of the twelve months preceding the date of my co-option occupied, as owner or tenant, land or other premises in the parish
• My principal or only place of work during those twelve months has been in the parish  
• I have during the whole of those twelve months resided in or within 3 miles of the parish

The closing date for applications is 28 February 2023.  The co-option process will be undertaken at the Parish Council meeting to be held on Tuesday 14 March 2023.
